  The DSM-5 has included a chapter on Obsessive- Compulsive and Related Disorders because of the growing evidence of the relatedness of these conditions which include OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Hoarding Disorder, Trichotillomania, and a new diagnosis, Excoriation Disorder. This course will review the diagnostic criteria for each of these disorders along with providing an overview of the effective medication and cognitive behavioral therapies currently available. Participants will learn about the different types of Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders.  Participants will recognize the diagnostic and associated features of each disorder. Participants will learn about best practice medication management and current limitations for these conditions. Participants will learn about cognitive behavioral interventions for these disorders.
  CEU approval sources: Ohio Counselor and Social Worker CPE hours approved, #RCS030401 (valid until November 2015), by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board; KY Board of Social Work Continuing education sponsorship number KBSW-SP1322 (valid until August 2014). Successful completion of this offering includes attending the entire offering and completion of evaluation.
