  • CIT for Behavioral Health Professionals 

    CIT for Behavioral Health Professionals is an expansion of the Crisis Intervention Team training model used to provide training and skills development to law enforcement and first responders. This intensive 2-day training will provide behavioral health professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively when  individuals served have involvement with the criminal justice system. The training will be conducted under the instructional supervision of local CIT-trained police officers and in partnership with court officials, corrections, communications and parole professionals.   At the conclusion of the 2-day training, the participants will be able to interact effectively with various criminal justice professionals while advocating for individuals served.

    CIT for Behavioral Health training will include tours of the Hamilton County Justice Center, Cincinnati Communications Center and a ride along with a local police deapartment. Participants must have individual trasnportation to tour locations. Other training topics include:
