  • The Leadership Academy fosters initial leadership development and increases basic skills contributing to professionalism in the workplace. This training is a prerequisite to family and youth peer support certifications, where consumers with lived experience instill hope and help other consumers find their own path to recovery. Training core competencies include:

    1. Leadership Roles
    2. Communication Skills
    3. Decision-Making Skills
    4. Dealing with Conflict
    5. Effective Advocacy
    6. Partnership and Collaboration

The Leadership Academy will enable you to strengthen your own leadership skills, become more comfortable sharing your story, increase your ability to a become leader in your community, and contribute to fostering a “family-driven” and “youth-guided” system of care.
